Viaggio Private Car Service ("Viaggio", "we", "us") provides prearranged private rides in South Florida, booked through viaggiopalm.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, mobile phone number (optional), pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time, number of passengers and bags, flight number (optional), ride preferences and any notes you write.
- Payment: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe — we never see or store it. We receive only the card brand, the last four digits and the payment status.
- Messages: what you write in the chat on our website and in emails you send us.
- Ride records: times, route distance, fare, tips and any fees, as required to provide the service and by Florida law.
We do not use advertising trackers and we do not collect your location. Addresses you type are sent to Google only to suggest matching places and calculate the route.
How we use it
- To quote, confirm, provide and charge for your ride, and to send receipts.
- To contact you about your ride — confirmations, your driver being on the way or arriving, changes and questions.
- To keep records required by law, handle disputes and protect the safety of riders and our driver.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we send ride-related messages only (booking confirmations, driver on the way, driver arrived, receipts). Message frequency varies with your bookings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not share, sell, rent or transfer your mobile number or your text-messaging opt-in data and consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the service work, and only what each needs:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Maps Platform — address suggestions and route calculation.
- Supabase (database), Cloudflare (website) and Resend (email) — hosting and delivery.
- A text-message provider, when ride updates by SMS are enabled.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the safety of any person.
How long we keep it
We keep ride records for as long as needed to provide the service and for at least one year, as Florida law requires for prearranged rides. Chat messages and emails are kept while they are useful for customer support.
Security
Our database is not publicly accessible; only our server reads and writes it. Links in our emails are signed so they cannot be guessed or altered. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it (except records we must keep by law).
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- You may book without giving a phone number.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Minors ride only when booked by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
